Perth

I was born and bred in Perth, spending many years of my adult working life in the now booming town.

I travel for work regularly to Perth and get a chance to spend time with my family and friends, working my way through the many new and exciting restaurants on offer.

My March/April 2014 trip featured visits to Jamie’s Italian, Viet Hoa, Da Vinci Ristorante Pizzeria and Blake Street Cafe.

As I return to Perth I’ll keep this particular page updated for new experiences and also am happy to answer any questions about where I enjoy going. It’s a great city and is getting better every year.

My May 2014 trip featured visits to Little Pantry for a great late breakfast / lunch, Mum wanted to go back to Jamie’s so I obliged, and I went back to Trustee Bar & Bistro having tried it soon after it opened the year prior.

I’ve been a bit tardy keeping this page updated, but had a great variety of food on my last trip in January/February 2015. I got back to Little Pantry for a pasta lunch this time. Threecoins Trattoria was for dinner but pasta also played a staring role. Then there was Pleased To Meet You which was solid, providing a good American barbeque based experience with tastes and dishes stretching across Asia. Another recent American barbeque edition is Public House, which I’ve tried a couple of times and do enjoy.

On some past trips between August and November 2014, I’ve also checked out long time dinner favourites, Il Lido and Billy Lee’s. Getting casual I’ve enjoyed local patisseries new to me (Choux Patisserie) and old (Jean Claude Patisserie).

Some newish places that I’ve tried include Bread In Common which was a little up and down, and Low Key Chow House which was fantastic.

When I’m in Perth, for a few reasons, including the fantastic coffee, Bench Espresso is the place on my way to work for the most important coffee of the day! For breakfast, the latest finds have been Yabba Dabba and I finally got to check out Mrs S recently.

Lastly, as I catch up with recent trips to Perth I need to say that Lalla Rookh on more than one occasion has produced a brilliant dinner.

As always, if you would like any recommendations I enjoy providing them! Just ask!
